Legacy
Preserve stories, knowledge and memories for future generations.
AfterTwin explores the future of personal AI after death — how memories, voice, values and decades of accumulated context might be preserved, governed, inherited or respectfully retired.
As personal AI becomes intimate and long-lived, digital legacy may become a normal part of estate planning, family history and memory preservation.

Independent concept initiative exploring possible future human–AI systems. This site does not claim to represent an established standard, regulated credential, government program or currently deployed platform.
The stewardship rules for personal AI representations, memories, access rights and delegated functions when the represented person dies, becomes permanently incapacitated or intentionally retires the system.
A persistent personal AI may accumulate years or decades of memories, preferences, relationships and delegated capabilities. AfterTwin addresses what should be preserved, deleted, transferred, restricted or shut down when the person can no longer manage the system directly.
A preserved representation is not the deceased person, and preservation does not imply continued operation. Post-life access and behavior should follow explicit stewardship, consent and succession rules.
AfterTwin is the lifecycle layer. It determines what happens to PersonTwin context, PersonPassport credentials, PersonProxy activity and TwinAuthority grants when ordinary personal governance ends.
Representation, identity, portability, delegated action, authority, human involvement and lifecycle stewardship are treated as separate questions so that no one layer silently grants another.
